Our Health & Wellbeing programmes are designed to support people of all ages and abilities in improving their physical and mental wellbeing. Whether you're managing a long-term health condition, recovering from illness, building strength and confidence, or looking to connect with others in a supportive environment, our specialist instructors and tailored activities can help you achieve your goals.

Exercise Referral

The Exercise referral membership is a discounted membership for anyone with medical conditions. After being referred to us by a health professional (doctor, nurse, physio etc) the patient is able to join the gym and be given specialist care and support to exercise safely to help manage or improve their medical conditions.

Patients can be referred for; Bone or joint pain or injury, Obesity – BMI 30>, Blood pressure, Diabetes, Anxiety, Mental health, Asthma, Long Covid and Fibromyalgia.

The referral scheme is a £73 membership for 12 weeks. This includes:

  • Gym and Pool – No restrictions, full access to the gym within opening hours

  • Classes – All classes are included however this will be at the referral instructor's discretion: depending on the reason for the referral some classes may not be suitable. Notes will be added to the membership as to what classes are available to use.

Appointments:

  • Day one – consultation, membership sign up and initial gym session to design appropriate gym program

  • Week 3 – Catch up appointment

  • Week 6 – Review and reassessment

  • Week 9 – Catch up appointment

  • Week 12 – Review and sign off consultation

Throughout the 12 weeks our gym staff are always available to help outside of these set appointments.

Cancer Referral

The cancer referral membership is a discounted membership for anyone who has been diagnosed with cancer, at any point during their cancer journey – Prehab before treatment, during active treatment, Rehab after treatment or during palliative care. After being referred to us by a health professional (oncology team, doctor, nurse, etc) you are able to join the gym and be given specialist care and support by a level 4 cancer specialist to exercise safely at an appropriate level - always taking into account side affects from treatments and medications – to work towards improving your general fitness, health and wellbeing.

The cancer referral scheme is a £73 membership for 12 weeks. This includes:

  • Gym – No restrictions, full access to the gym within opening hours

  • Swim – No restrictions, full access to the pools and lagoon within opening hours however this will depend on the type and cycle of your treatment

  • Classes – All classes are included however this will be at the referral instructor's discretion: depending on the reason for the referral some classes may not be suitable. Notes will be added to the membership as to what classes are available to use.

Parkinson's PWP Class

Our PWP class is a weekly hour-long session for anyone diagnosed with Parkinson's. The class is offered at discounted rate at £4.35 and is supervised by two instructors to ensure both safety and that everyone get the one-on-one support they need. The sessions are comprised of individual cardio routines, group circuit training on our specialist circuit series machines and group balance, coordination and stretching in our studio. After the class we go down to the café and have a cup of tea and a chat together!

The class size is limited to 12 people for safety and we now run 2 sessions with new funding.

Steady & Strong

This class is aimed at people who are 60+ who want to increase strength and balance to avoid falls

Steady and Strong classes are designed to help you regain and maintain strength, balance and coordination and help you to live independently and actively for longer. Instructors have specialist training to teach exercises which help to reduce falls. This runs once a week on a Monday 10.30am - 11.30am.

Drop-in Sessions

We run a drop in session in conjunction with the charity Andover-mind to specifically improve mental health in the community. These sessions which run once a week are Free for people who are part of the well-being centre Wellbeing - Andover Mind

  • Thursdays - Diabetes group after walk drinks in the café

31st October - Aquadrome Team completing the Jurassic Walk to raise money for Sands and Mental Health Charities.
